The Workshop will be held at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain.
Santander is a seaport in northern Spain, in the region of Cantabria. It is a middle-large sized city that spreads along the bay, known for its city beaches and scenic harbor. The University of Cantabria (UC) is a public institution which just turned 50 years old, ranked among the ten best Spanish universities for its scientific quality and productivity.
Getting to Santander
Santander airport has direct connections with about 25 Spanish and European cities, mostly via Iberia, Voltea, Vueling and Ryanair. Another convenient option is Bilbao airport, about 120 km from Santander, served by most major European airlines. Santander can also be reached by train or bus from several Spanish cities, and there are also ferry boats from England.

Accommodation
If you are an invited speaker or TA, or if you got an accommodation grant from us then you have a room reserved for you at Hotel Silken Rio, in front of El Sardinero beach (see map below).
If not, you are responsible for finding and reserving your own accommodation. Hotel prices and occupancy in Santander in January should be moderate. Yet, we advise you to make hotel reservations as soon as possible.
Lunch
Lunches are self-organised and not included in the registration fee. There are a number of cafeterias in the university area offering a full lunch for about 10 euros. Here are some recommended places near the conference venue. Numbers refer to the map below:
